The Tall Boy 5G SMA is best purchased as an upgrade to the magnet mount antenna that comes kitted with the variety of vehicle signal boosters out there. It’s roughly twice as powerful as a 4” antenna. It also supports a wider set of 4G and 5G frequencies. So, if you want an inexpensive way to get a bit more power for your vehicle booster, the Tall Boy 5G is a tremendous option.
Compared to the Tall Boy, the Tall Boy 5G SMA supports a wider set of frequencies (617 to 4000 MHz) and has a larger magnetic base (65mm).
The Tall Boy 5G SMA has an SMA-Male connector. It’s best for cell phone boosters with SMA connectors. The Tall Boy 5G FME, on the other hand, has an FME-Female connector. It’s best for cell phone boosters with FME connectors.
The Tall Boy 5G SMA captures any signal between the 617-4000 MHz bandwidths. That includes 5G/4G/LTE/3G/2G cellular signal.
